Essentially we made it past the planetary defenses without even raising an eyebrow (those who have them) and landed on the structure to find a large canopy covering a very large hole. The hole was filled with a nitrogen and oxygen rich  water that was breathable, so we're all taking a dip

Thanks.

My how impatient. Well, it appears that your "rash" is a migration of nerve cells clustering around your neck area. It is unquestionably tied to the trips through these transmogrification chambers. Furthermore, the "special gene" has even more invasively replicated itself into your  DNA, as it has with me and, I suspect, everyone on board. I shall run some remote scans before we land and see if we are all experiencing the same phenomenon. Those  of us who have consented to testing that is.

And we saw a pre-recorded holographic message from Aldus Kerlock deriding us for taking so long to find this stuff, noting that he didn't need any help when he found these places. He also said that it was dangerous, especially for Eddie Chang, to go through the transformation booths. He cautioned us to really think before doing it any more.

I believe Orgo tested by dunking Eddie in whilst holding him by the ankles. I could have that wrong tho.

Yeah he said once you do it there is no going back.

Yeah he said once you do it there is no going back.

Any more explanation than that?

I don't recall that there was, but this is at least the second hint dropped the the GM that it might not be a good idea. But Kerlock singled you out a being an especially bad candidate for some unexplained reason.

I guess I'm fine with that. You guys can get as mutated and superhuman as you want -- as long as I get my cut.

Well, the people back on Zaxarax did ask you if there had been any "freak outs" due to the chambers, an indicated that it hadn't gone well for everyone who had been through the chambers.

It wasn't necessarily a "don't do it" thing, more of a "buyer beware" thing. You have all benefited greatly from from going through the chambers, so its a tad vague as why it might be bad.

Looking at the star-charts you'd guess that this is one of the first of the PoM that Kerlock would have visited, so the hologram would be unlikely to have the complete picture. The Temple on Balion that Kerlock left to direct the Terrans who would eventually follow him to these PoM contained no dire warnings as what to do or not to do.

THE CHAMBERS AND THE DAMAGE DONE (Sung to the tune of "The Needle and the Damage Done" by Neil Young)

I wanna keep walkin' through those chamber doors
Knock my DEX up to 24
Ooh, ooh, the damage done

I hit a new planet and found the place
Artifacts of a long-gone race
Gone, gone, the damage done.

I sing the song because we've been warned
We keep walking through we could buy the farm
Surely, one more time's not bad

I've seen the chambers, not the damage done
Another time through might be fun
My mutations have just begun
