Step into my parlor

« on: December 01, 2007, 10:47:27 PM »

I sometimes feel that in an effort to be too peppy that I'm being hasty instead and shoving things forward without setting the scene well.

Xeno Prime is leading you through a maze of passages using ancient and sketchy memories imprinted on him by the Elder Ones. He has taken you on a long twisty ramble through shoggoth territory. And he seems to have done a great job, but there is something...

And not only is that something the creature Xeno detect ahead, but also the realization of where you are. Tho you many have passed through few rooms to get where you are,  deep within the bowels of the enemy city. While you have been able to take them down  in small numbers, if some shoggoth should raise the alarm down here, there will be too many for you to deal with. You are deep in the enemies fortress and it might be more than you can just hack through even with Weapons Muy Especial. You have all been through 2 TC (Transmog. Chamber), you feel more pumped than if you'd been drinkin' Egg Shen's magic potion, push your abilities and yourself, and don't forget your tactical situation. Is that enough horrible meta-gaming for you?

Shoggoth City (to the tune of Paradise City by Guns N. Roses)

Just a charra sinking under the sea
Keep fighting for the bourgeoisie
But I’m not your captain
So I keep on sinking
And there’s one thing I know
That I’m following the Rhino

Water’s murky
Have to squint
We gotta
Keep lookin’ for something ancient
You know it's, it's all our mission
But it's just a shame
We gotta hunt for the outsider
But I’m not a water strider

Take me down to the shoggoth city
Where the walls are green
And it sure ain’t pretty
Take me down (Oh, no don’t you take me down)

Take me down to the shoggoth city
Where doors are sphincters
And it sure ain’t pretty
Take me down (Oh, no don’t you take me down)

This place is all crawling with nasty demons
And it’s not like we’re really seamen
Sure the water’s got oxy so we can breathe
But all I’m armed with is just a
Puny spear gun
Against a shoggoth that weighs a ton

Take me down to the shoggoth city
Where elder ones live
In a town without pity
Take me down (Oh, no don’t you take me down)

Take me down to the shoggoth city
Where things look grim
So I sing this ditty
Take me down (Oh, no don’t you take me down)

So far away
So far away
So far away
So far away

Take me down to the shoggoth city
Where elder ones live
In a town without pity
Take me down (Oh, no don’t you take me down)

Take me down to the shoggoth city
Where I hide my fear
By trying to be witty
Take me down (Oh, no don’t you take me down)

I don’t want to go
I don’t want to know
Oh, won't you please take me hooooooome

Stomping through Shoggoth City (sung to the tune of "When the lights go down in the City" by Journey)

when we're stomping through Shoggoth City
and their tentacles feast on my brain
I don't want to be there,
in that city,
ohoh ohohoh ohoh

So this race is imprisoned down under
well I don't give a damn
i just want to get back, to my vessel
up in orbit, ohoh ohohoh ohoh

its bad ohh,
in this tunnel
inside a city of shoggoths,
without a clue
ohohoh nah nah nah ohoh

when we're stomping through Shoggoth City
and their tentacles feast on my brain
I don't want to be there, in that city oh oh
ohoh ohohoh ohoh

(freestyle-shoggoth style)

when we're stomping through Shoggoth City
and their tentacles feast on my brain
I don't want to be there, in that city
ohoh ohohohoh ohoh
mmmmhmhm ohoh ohohoh ohoh

DEADLY HALLS (Sung to the tune of "Silver Bells" by Livingston/Evans)

Deadly halls, deadly halls
There's Shoggoth slime in the city
Slurp-a-lurp, hear them slurp
Soon we should be on our way

Slimy sphincters, grimy sphincters
That's how we pass through the walls
In the air
There's an aura of sickness

Tendrils lashing
Maws a-gnashing
Seeing goo and more goo
And down ev'ry moist hallway you'll hear

Deadly halls, deadly halls
There's Shoggoth slime in the city
Slurp-a-lurp, hear them slurp
Soon we should be on our way

Rooms of sticky junk
Rooms of slimy gunk
Greet us around every turn
As our quest takes us further toward danger

Hear our boots plop
Through the slimy slop
This is the Outsiders' lair
And amid all this mucous you'll hear

Deadly halls, deadly halls
There's Shoggoth slime in the city
Slurp-a-lurp, hear them slurp
Soon we should be on our way

Obviously we should be careful.  However, Gargel has been building up his favorite area of effect weapon, the gas bomb.  He has been eating a lot of cabbage and cauliflower, with hot sauce on his tacos.  Be warned.  Did anyone bring a portable fan?

Aren't we under water? Isn't it more of a gas bubble bomb?

Chorus:
We built this city, we built this city on Shog-goth wole
Built this city, we built this city on Shog-goth wole

Say you dont know me or recognize my face
Say you dont care who goes to that kind of place
Knee deep in the sphincter sinking in your fight
Too many ghost children eating up the night

Charra plays the mamba, listen to the Xen, dont you remember...
We built this city, we built this city of Shoggoth souls

Chorus:
Don't feel no pity, the outsiders they must die
silent but witty, roll  the die roll the die

Skulking midst incorporation games
Fear eats close of home and thoughts of me dame.
Cthulu strikes deep, he's tryin to steal the stage
They call us foolish, maybe dumb but brave
as we fall out of the universe and
     off the page

Eddy Chang plays the mamba, Em has a radio, don't you remember
We filked this city, we filked this city on a Shoggoth stroll

Don't feel no pity, the outsiders they must die
silent but witty, roll  the die roll the die

Its just another tursday, in a tired old street
Old One's have us in the choke hold, and
we've lost Orgo's h'beat

Who counts the money, underneath the well
Who rides the wrecking ball in two rock guitars
Dont tell us you need us, cos we're the ship of fools
Looking for america, coming through your schools

(Im looking out over that golden brown bridge with some tincture,
Out on gassy dark day, not seein the point, of walkin that way)

Dont you remember (member)(member)

(whats your favorite alien station, in your favorite eliliptical reach
The station by the bay, the station that rocks, the Station that never sleeps)

The Rest play the mamba, and listen to the Greek, don't you remember
We came here for a reason, to proffer a goal.

We built this city, we built this city on Shog-goth wole
Built this city, we built this city on Shog-goth wole
silent but witty, roll  the die roll the die
We filked this city, we filked this city on a Shoggoth stroll

Curse you for getting that stupid song stuck in my head. May the Shoggoths rend you to pieces.

White Shoggoth (sung to the tune of "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Aeroplane)

One current takes you upward
And one current draws you down
And the clues that Kerlock left us
Keep us prepetually in frowns
Go ask Shoggoth
In Shoggoth town

And if you go chasing chambers
through tunnels in the sprawl
Tell 'em a joint smoking GM
Has given you the call
Recall Shoggoth
When they were just small

Where evil breeds decendants
Who pay for crimes from long ago
And you've just had the inclination
to nuke them all in one go
Go ask Shoggoth
I think they'll know

When Shogoths and their ilk
want to kill you sloppy dead
And that Kerlock is talking backwards
And the Dr.'s out of his head
Remember what the Shoggoth said:
"FEED MY HEAD"
"FEED MY HEAD"

I LOVE SHOGGOTHS (Sung to the tune of "I Love Paris" by Cole Porter)

Every time I look down on this sphinctered town
Whether blue or green be her slime
Whether labyrinthine be her halls or gooey be her walls
To sing of her it's well time

I love Shoggoths under the ocean
I love Shoggoths on dry land
I love Shoggoths in the spaceways where they're trouble
I love Shoggoths in the ether where they bubble

I love Shoggoths, yes, every tendril
Every tendril that they flail
I love Shoggoths, why, oh why do I love Shoggoths?
Because they leave a slime trail!
