I like Philip Jose' Farmer a lot. So it would be sad for me.

Farmer's been cool for most of his career, whereas Gygax, from what I understand, was quite a douchebag during a good portion of his. I guess that's the difference between being an author and being a businessman.

I actually really liked "Dark is the Sun" by Farmer.  It was that so far future it's fantasy kinda thingy.  Tho its been 20+ years since I read that.

His "Dayworld" series was pretty entertaining, and "Riverworld" was a classic, even if he kept it going a couple books longer than he should have.

I'm reading "World of Tiers" right now, which is the reason I knew he's 90.
