All is not lost! I did some reading when I got home and some calling around to a few other D&D dorks today and LO!  I may still use my weapons! I just do not get the bonus for strength on my damage.

Since it is a composite greatbow I will take a -4 to all attacks with it.

The -4 is due to: (-3) because the composite was created to fit my +3 strength bonus and (-1) because it is a greatbow and I have no bonus modifiers at a 10 strength. The negatives increase the lower my strength goes.

My greatsword I can also use! as well as the warmace. I just get no bonuses from strength modifiers to any damage.

Bottom line, I can still continue to fight and be helpful, to a degree.

Since Ginlock uses two weapon fighting he rarely uses his shield, if he were to lend me his shield I could use use my warmace (1d12) damage and fight that way.

Or, without a shield, use my greatsword which still does (2d6) damage on it's own.

Using my greatbow: I had a total of +13 to attack. With my new strength of 10 it would fall to a +9, and a +8 on the second shot if I used rapid shot.

And instead of +7 to damage, I would only have a +4, because the feats I took still apply. So I am still in it baby and ready to go.

And I now know not to charge into the bite zone of a "Giant Water Fuck You Up." Tongue

war mace - 2 handed weapon?
-so you are telling me that the strength loss does not wear off, or is that just for you because you are lucky?  we should be able to be restored, as long as we do not wait until the weekend....

Yes you are correct, I must use it with two hands.
In addition, with the warmace you take a -1 to AC while using because the time to recover after a swing leaves you semi open to opponents.
If you take the exotic weapon feet for the warmace, then you can use it with out penalty and in one or two hands.

As for our reduced strength, once we get back to the surface we can purchase a Greater Restoration Scroll to get our stats back, or go to a temple and pay to have them perform Greater Restoration on us.

The Dholemites owe us. I'm sure they would restore you for little or no cost.

Hopefully the GM will let us have our level as I'm sure we'll need it, I intend to have my next level worked out and ready to use

Two things... First, I know the GM hasn't been playing our battles this way. But if you are swinging a great sword or a warmace in a confined space, like a sewer or tunnel, wouldn't we be in the way? If a spell can affect a certain area then i would suppose a great sword would too. Thats one reason i haven't used my super special glaive. even though a glaive is a reach weapon... a great sword in reality is 5 to 6 feet in length, not including the reach of your arms. i know feats and abilities have some do to with ability to handle your weapons, but should we not care about friendly fire or confinded spaces and just choose the biggest weapon we can find?

Second, I really have only been using the weapons that are listed in the Players handbook... am i cheating myself out of a super-damage-dealing-bad ass  weapon by not using the other weapons? my bastard sword is a 1d10 dmg, and i take a -2 ac when i use it becasue it two handed.

As for the approved list of arms and armor, I'm pretty liberal in terms of what CAN exist on Vasteras. But whether you can find it for sale is another matter altogether. The basic rule for weapons in this campaign is like my rule for prestige classes: if it's in the basic book, fine. If it's not in the basic book, show it to me and I will tell you whether or not it can be purchased readily or whether a smith has the ability to fashion a custom version.

Make sense?

I'm really really sorry, I have accidentally burned all of you to cinders with the old ball of fire trick.  You are all dead.  So sorry.  :?:  Tongue
