An apology
«
on:
January 09, 2009, 11:03:34 AM »
I was really hoping to get last night off with a bang, but I was late, found myself not articulating things particularly well, and I let the action drag. Not to mention, I forgot my laptop, which I'd hoped would allow Jaime to better participate in the game.
I had an awful day, was pissed off, and I promise next week will be better. Sorry about that.
Thanks for your patience.

I understand that you were disappointed, but (no offense to anyone running a non-D&D game previously) I think we all are completely jazzed to be back in Vasteras...or nearby planes at least. The first game back always starts slow as we get reacquainted with our characters and the storyline. Don't sweat it. We'll all be hyped for next week.
So, if I bring a beer I get 1000XP? I'm in.

For me, the Thursday night thing has always been a safe place for me to have fun with friends with whom I would not normally get to socialize. It has always been group therapy in some form or another, and I am glad you got a chance, I hope, to vent and shake off some of your day. I gotta go with Paul and say, with nods to other GMs, Vasteras - Home Sweet Home.

We all had fun and that's what matters
And I would have rather have gotten to the city and got our bearings than have had a fight along the way. So it's okay to start off without a bang.
Anyway I forgot my glasses and was having a hard time reading my character sheet.

as opposed to the usual making yourself goggle-eyed and having trouble reading your character sheet.

I did notice while Loken made her Spot Check, Pete failed his miserably. His arms were stretched as far as they could go, and the expression on his face was one, I am sure, that Molly is intimately familiar with. It was a little scary.

Video conferencing with you guys is probably the thing that keeps homesickness from being a problem for me. Well, that and all the hot sex with hot men I'm getting here.
I guess what I'm saying is no sweat, even just being there is cool.

Dude, Jules is not yet a man. You should let him discover his sexuality on his own...

Jules will never be a man...he's a dog. You've got to stop anthropomorphizing these beasts.

Nope, but if you are talking about the old Russian novel...it sounds interesting. Not that it applies here.
