"The City & The City." Looks interesting -- and it's not set in Bas-Lag.

Excellent, but I'll miss New Crobuzon.

The Amazon.com synopsis started out sounding kinda lame, but it got much more interesting quickly.  I can't believe I doubted the master, even for one second.  I think it's time I read Scar and Iron Council.  Don't wanna get too far behind.

They are both definitely worth reading, although I preferred "The Scar".

Hard to pick a fave. I think the writing in "Iron Council" was more mature, but the story of "The Scar" was hard to beat.

I really loved the really strange cast of characters inhabiting "The Scar". Add to that the cool locales, and the really well woven story. It ends up taking my top spot, but they are all really a cut above.
