Just thought I'd give a warning here to those who might be getting in over their heads.  This sewer we are about to enter is a very real threat.  The town's wastes do not move through this maze of pipes, but the thieves' guilds do.  Though it isn't likely that we'll be caught by any guild members, if we are it means almost certain death.  These aren't scribes' guilds where they break your quills for writing in the wrong part of town, these guys are dangerous.  I've been through the sewers once, and it wasn't a pleasant experience, so I wanted to warn those of you who pray or write shit down for a living.  This is going to be a whole different level of crazy.

That said, once the dwarf looks in and gives the all-clear, I'll be more than willing to go first.

Death may be the greatest of all human blessings.

Well, on the bright side, we won't be knee-deep in shit.

There are so many little dyings that it doesn't matter which of them is death.

It matters not. We must pursue this rot and cut it out completely from the body of our society. As long as we maintain our moral purity, this filth will not stick to us.

Your eagerness to see things in terms of black and white is disturbing, cleric. I think you'll soon discover that this world is painted far more in shades of grey.

Fear not. Follow me child and I will make sure you stick to the path of righteousness.

There are many pitfalls on the path to righteousness. Sometimes it makes far more sense to take a detour.
