Plan "A" is definitely a loser

Saw this at the WOC site. It has a link to a 4th edition Quick-Start guide.  It has about all I want to read of the new rules, they look awful. When low level characters look this overpowered I'd hate to see what it looks like at higher levels.

They're taking too many cues from MMORPG's. Does anyone have these rules? Are they as awful as they look?

Lucky for me this place is soundproof. That way nobody gets to hear me beating the truth out of you.

I have the 4th Edition Player's Handbook if you would like to peruse it. I agree that there are some dreadful changes. I listened to some of their podcasts explaining the rationale for the rules changes and I see some of their points, but I think they have really jumped the shark.

Death may be the greatest of all human blessings.

What I saw online looked awful as well. Seems like a dumbed-down version of the game that's rejiggered to appeal to videogamers.

There are so many little dyings that it doesn't matter which of them is death.
