I'm liking it as much as (maybe even more than) "The Blade Itself."

High praise!  How much of the book references people/places/entities from the First Law Trilogy?

It works pretty much independently of the First Law Trilogy (of which I've read only the first). But it appears to be sprinkled with characters and references -- more so than I would have thought.

That sounds great. I might have to see about hitting you up for it when I'm through with the Age of Misrule trilogy.

You should read the rest of The First Law. It was a very enjoyable series.

I liked the first book and plan to get around to the other two. "Best Served Cold" just caught my attention before I picked up the second. Mainly because I wanted to see what he could do with a stand-alone.
