I've got a notion to filk about gnomes.
Any theme this week, or is it -- as Fred Nugent once sang -- just a free-for-all?

So Dio and Udo Dirkschneider?

Iggy Pop and David Bowie are also quite short.
I like this "short rock" theme. I shall go with it.

Other short rockstars:
Angus Young is really short, like 5'2"
I believe Roger Daltrey, Ian McKaye (Minor Threat/Fugazi) and John "Cougar" Mellencamp are also short (in the 5'5 range).
And we haven't even mentioned the women. Isn't Shakira barely five feet?

Two others I just remembered:
Glenn Danzig and Marc Bolan of T-Rex. Both of hinnish stature.

When You Give Your Word You Are (to the tune of "When You Wish Upon a Star" as sung by Jiminy Cricket. That is short.)
When you give your word you are Only going to go so far The comrades that you have acquired Will turn on you
If your bent's chaotic good And you behave the way you should For you your word's your only law You will get screwed
Fate's a bitch She brings to those who're good Death threats from two-bit hoods Just for your promise
Fighters, mages, clerics, too Greed's what guides this motley crew When you give your word you are Bidding the world adieu

Yes, it is sad to see how greed can corrupt the unguarded mind. I once heard a sermon from a deacon of Torm about the evils of greed, how it was the "rot in our society" or something like that. I can't remember where I heard that, though. The only deacon of Torm I know is the one who wanted to kill the gnome prisoner so that no one would know of our plans to acquire the treasure from the Nymph's Kiss. You know who I am talking about, the guy that hangs out with the mage who threatened to kill me if by sparing a life it somehow came back to haunt us. Perhaps the mage is right. perhaps we should slaughter all passers-by lest they plot against us. We are wealthy travelers after all, and only getting more wealthy. We are targets now! We should strike before we are taken advantage of! Is this the sort of mind-set that we should adopt? I remember once, long ago, pledging to help those poor folks from our neighborhood who could not help themselves. I remember pledging to protect them from the greed of those in power who would not help them. I also remember a group of heroes who stood beside (er... above) me and pledged the same.
I wonder what happened to those heroes?
